I think Galloway really nails it at the end. We are led by corporate types that have no direct experience of war and only cursory experience with the military.
Implication (1): they fall into the trap of seeing war as another policy tool, instead of the destructive tragedy that it is.
Implication (2): the communication gap between the military and the corporate types results in mutual incomprehension, with the result that we have no cohesive leadership. We end up with uninformed and arrogant civilian leadership that selects the most obsequious military folks for leadership positions.
Implication (3): because war is unknown to those in command, their ability to command is fatally compromised. A war must be fit into terms of reference that they understand, which in the case of this administration means domestic politics.

That DeRita creep has a 1-track mind: "stop pointing out that my boss is an a**hole".
No mention of taking care of the problems.
That fact is that Rumsfeld IS an idiot and bumbled and mismanaged the war and our military into the disarry its' in now.
Somebody get me a drink...
