I owned two Chevette's. the first one, the Fredmobile, was my first car. I bought it for $500. That was in 1984 for anyone who is counting. The second one I bought in 1987. It started sucking oil into the carborator (do you remember carborators?) two years later. I don't know much about cars but I know that was not good.

Good post. I owned a Renault Fuego way a time ago. When I bought it I thought it was really cool looking and had lots of features. It should have been my first warning not to trust the French. Car was a piece of junk.
