Hmm, - a Bush Ranger, and a Reagan appointee gave him a favorable ruling without really considering the case very carefully.
<Barbrady>Nothing to see here folks, move along. </Barbrady>
And that bit about Viacom trying to compel the source code seems a bit of an overreach. It could be construed as asking the courts to collude in an act of industrial espionage. Even a Reagan appointee isn't dumb enough to go for that. Hell, I doubt if even Reagan himself would have been dumb enough to go for that - except maybe in those last few years when he was obviously a victim of Alzheimer's.
But I digress.

Well, at least there's no porn on YouTube.
I mean, who looks at porn?
I wonder if, since the government is spying on us, we can get the source code for all their TIA/Carnivore-styled shit.

Good thing YouTube doesn't have porn on it.
I mean, who looks at porn?
I say, since the government is spying on us, we should get the source code for all their TIA/Carnivore-styled programs. Fair use.

Haloscan has turned the 'sucks' control up to 11 lately. Pains from trying to integrate with their new third-party partner JS-kits, I suspect. I bet their discussion boards are raking them over the coals right now. "Sure a ratings system and the ability to post polls is nice - but not if it doesn't work, and ESPECIALLY not if it breaks the stuff that DID work.

So you see, it's only speculative what they will do with your user data if you've ever watched a youtube.
I'll wager that Viacom is working with the major Telcos to help them further develop "packet-shaping" tech. All of the routing data from Google's database would be very helpful in that effort.

Not constitutional in the least.
Of course that doesn't seem to matter any more.
BTW: the judge is more of a luddite than McCain.
