It amazes me how the statements Bush and Cheney are making are being glossed over, not just by the media, but by Congress itself. Where are Reps Kucinich and Wexler? Weren't these guys leading the charge on impeachment a few months ago? They now have their proof that those running the Executive Branch of our government LIED!!!!! We called Clinton the carpet for lying about a blowjob, but it's okay to give a pass to the lies that led to the deaths 4,000 American soldiers and over 1 million Iraqis citizens?
On the Obama point, I want to join you in your pessimism, but I'm of a mind to hold off until he is actually inaugurated. Some of his picks are dubious, I concur, but it's still a wild card in my estimation because none of his selections for cabinet positions have been sworn in and neither has he.
I still can't understand why these guys aren't on trial at the Hague. Or how a reporter could listen to these answers and not just get up and kick these assholes in the nuts.
This whole so what attitude really boils down to the proposition that somehow there is no difference between success and failure. In this case epic failure.
BTW, Aravosis is not my favorite blogger but when his heart is in it he really excels, which usually translates to if it's a gay issue. He's done a stellar job on the Rick Warren story.
The empire is gonna keep on rollin' along. It might be a bit kinder, a bit gentler, but that's about it.
The problem with Aravosis is that he is an unrepentant bigot, no better in my opinion than David Duke or Louis Farrakhan. That is unless we have decided that it's okay to hate transgendered Americans. Please let me know if that's the consensus because I sure can't understand why Aravosis can hate me but Warren can't hate him.
