The LaMe has become quite adept at creating distractions, haven't they? This is a HUGE story, and as I've noted more than once, IT BLEEDS. Therefore, it should lead. But for the last many years the media has acted as a propaganda arm of the Republican party, which in turn acts as the P.R. department of Big Business, Inc.
Do you want to know why? It's because they planned it, after their last serious attempt at taking over the country failed because the media got in their way. The solution? Simple. Just buy the airwaves and control them from the boardroom. See: What Happened to the American Media?
I saw the hourlong interview of Naomi Klein on her book The Shock Doctrine at a post the Stationagent led me to. I have now posted it at my place. I plan to repost if often. We all need to read this book. Because the current economic meltdown is the result of Shock and Awe economics. Thanks Cheney.
