Welcome Unconventional Conventioneers! Carry On...

Gravatar Contempt of witness recent event:

....I was handcuffed and threatened with arrest by cop(s) who arrived due to a shooting in cross-walk outside of my window.

I saw the silver panel van, the license plate, the notorious grand daughter of neighbor, a loud crack head who WAS the shooter and the shot dead victim which happened before my hapless "Gladys Kravitz" eyes about 20-feet away from my window in broad daylight.

In the midst of many neighbors - uh huh us City folk ARE willing to cooperate even tho' that concept rarely shows up in Law and Order -
clustering at the intersection awaiting ambulance and officers ....

I approached group of PD and told them I saw the shooter, knew her via the grandma, saw the driver, the van and had the license plate

alas and alack: the officer with the most twinkle on his collar told me to "SHUT the FUCK UP or go to jail"

I refused to SHUT UP and approached other PD officers to hand them the license plate on I wrote on paper. .

Officer Twinkle Collar stomped up behind me, punched my back so hard I lost my breath (me a tiny size five 50-year old)which then cost me $$ at chiropractor thanks to the horrific slam on my spine. (no med insurance)

Officer Twinkle Collar cuffed me, dragged me to squad car and threw me into backseat to scream at the closed windows for a good two+ hours. (I'll probably be one big guffaw on tv's taped cop car shows)

Officer Twinkle Collar was driven off in his unmarked car and I was then released to scream at the less twinkly collar guys in blue who couldn't be bothered with the shooter info either.

It was the DA's office that seemed to be interested in the information for what they considered an 'unidentified shooter w/no witnesses shooting death'

. . . and have not heard from them either since providing the information.

Apparently those important First 48 Hours of a crime's event is all just for TV too.

Gravatar cops are forever saying they just want "respect," but what they really want is for people to be afraid.

Gravatar If I "disrespect" my mom or my dad or a teacher or an administrator, I'm not going to be hauled off in handcuffs and thrown in a cell, or possibly shot, but being a white suburban cracker, the odds of that are slim.

Gravatar I don't trust cops. Period. They are given too much power, and too many of them abuse it.
