The Cadaver Politik blog

I thought I saw somewhere around "teh internets" recently that Kucinich was contemplating forcing an impeachment vote... I think if you google around you'd turn it up rather quickly.

Interesting post. I wish I knew more about Iranian/Iraq/General Middle East historical relations. I always find articles using historical relations as a means of interpreting the current transactions, but I don't know enough to really enter into the conversation in any meaningful way... other than, that is, to explain how I'm not able to enter into those kinds of conversations in any meaningful way. But, I digress--from my digression, as it were.

I know I'm not really getting to the meat of your post, but I was just curious as to what sort of "finalists" (as I like to think of the candidates that win the primaries in this little show I call "American President (TM)") it would take to make you completely jump off the ship. Like, obviously Hillary would have to be one of them. So, who would the other finalists have to be to have to go another way? Like, sure "Kucinich as an independent" but what Is or Rs would you vote for over Hillary, if any?

How stupid is that question? Anyway, I'm still curious. I dislike her mightily too, and that laugh makes me want to take my own life. TDS did a splice-up, and MAN was it obnoxious. Those things are always edited pretty heavily, but it seemed completely inappropriate at times. Blargh!! I read today that Obama doesn't seem to be making many gains on Hillary with regards to money or support. I worry about his campaign somewhat, but then I sorta secure myself in the thought that realistically the campaign season SHOULD be just beginning, and anything can happen (Edwards/Kucinich '08! Ears! Hair! Humanistic and sane policy reforms! This campaign HAS...IT...ALL!!!).

Anyway.

Gravatar Thanks for that.

(At times we argue so viciously that I'm not sure we agree on ANYTHING -- but in truth I think we're pretty much on the same page.)

So, I take it by "jump off ship" you mean "vote for a non-Democrat"?

We interrupt this program to say: if you're still awake, turn on Air America. Because SAM SEDER is on! Yay! (Unless this is on at different times in different time zones. Hmm..)

Anyway.

I'm not a die-hard Dem -- it's just that there's no realistic alternative. But there are certainly no alternative candidates running who I would vote for, if that's what you mean. (So I guess "jumping off ship" would just mean not voting. Which is not going to happen, because ANY of the Democrats running are far, far better than ANY of the Republicans running. So, yeah: call me partisan.)

As for Iran:

I don't think it takes a lot of historical knowledge/perspective to make a judgment, here. All we have to do is try to be objective, and put ourselves in the "shoes" of others.
