I have to say this about a justice system that locks up too many good black men: They need to find another way to deal with the child support problem because locking up brothers is not the answer. We have too many black men in jail who are put there by vindictive women who don’t get it that a man doesn’t want her any more.
Yes, you have some shiftless, no good men out there. But most brothers would support their kids if it weren’t for the baby mama wylin’ out on them. Any woman who has dealt with her man’s ex-baby mama knows what I’m talking about. How does a man pay child support if he’s in jail? How does locking him up solve the problem?

My input on the CS is that the system shouldn't have to make you take of your kids, but unfortunately some parents dont wanna do right and therefore your only option is to let the court figure it out. I tried to give my daughters father a chance but he always dogged me out, called me every name in the book, so i decided to just let the court deal with it and gone 'bout my business cuz here i am trying do the right thing but he wanted to act ignorant.

Yeah, a prison stint would defeat the purpose. Here in Illinois, if you're behind on your payments and get a new job, wage garnishment is automatic... which is how it should be. And you can forget about any tax returns makin' it to your mail box.
