Gravatar I just stumbled across your blog and wanted to let you know that I will keep your son in my prayers.

I also wanted to tell you about a cancer support group that I've been involved with over the past 4+ years. It's called ChemoAngels (www.chemoangels.net) and they match up cancer patients with volunteer "Angels" who send cheerful cards and packages thru the mail each week. It's really a wonderful organization.

If you haven't already looked into it, there's also a website called Caringbridge (www.caringbridge.org) where you can set up a free webpage to keep friends and family updated on your son's journey. I've heard from many parents that it's so much easier than repeating the same info over and over again on the phone.

My good thoughts and best wishes are with you and your son. If you'd like any more info, please feel free to email me.

Gravatar We'll keep your son and your family in our prayers.

Gravatar I'm sorry to hear of your son's health difficulties. To google his diagnosis, you'll want to try: "Wilm's tumor," "Wilms' tumor," "Wilms tumor," or even "Wilms's tumor" I suppose. You'd need to google "tumour" for the British perspective.

I wish you and your son the best.

Thank you and have a nice day.

Gravatar Five years is such a short time in a parent-child relationship but can be all that is needed for a medical breakthrough. There is a whole universe out here in the academic world keeping the Unknown Family in our prayers.
