Thanks for the link and the kind words. And while I don't want to refuse a compliment, I don't think my rankings are "comprehensive". I didn't investigate that many blogs and I didn't spend any time at all on the thorny question of what should be considered an "economics blog".

Financial Rounds doesn't appear in BlogPulse, so it can't be ranked using method 1. But Financial Rounds would rank 41st using ranking 2, and 23rd using ranking 3. It has a Google PageRank of 5.

I didn't formally test the proposition, but it seems clear that newer blogs, all else equal, aren't ranked as high. So, if someone redoes the rankings a year from now, Financial Rounds could well be ranked higher.
