Hi Professor--
Thank you for a truly informative blog. Would you be able to recommend a course of study for my specific situation?
My vision is to become a Professor in Finance and teach at the collegiate level in the next 8 to 10 years. Previous to this decision, I was working for a Pharmaceutical company as a District Sales Manager. When I got my MBA in August, I realized that my true passion was teaching finance at a college level. Your blog has only helped me to confirm this. So the $20 million advice I am looking for is how would you start prepping for a PhD in Finance with a previous Biology B.S. degree and an MBA? What additional tactics would you recommend I take in order to make myself more marketable for admission into a PhD program? Any advice would truly be helpful. My previous coursework, has been calculus I, Managerial finance, macro and microeconomics...I am planning to take calculus I again, along with II, III, real analysis, linear algebra and econometrics. I plan to do this within the next 3 years along with scoring well on the GRE. I am truly looking for a mentor as well. Thank you sincerely for any advice you could spare!

Hello, I am a student at DePaul University and I would like to obtain my Ph.D in either Economics or Finance through the Trio program (offers support and resources). I am interested in working in an international position but do not know enough to see which area applies to other jobs. Thank you.
