Lord:
The C+ was how I'd grade my performance if it were a "not a-first-time-at-new-school" semester. It's not the level I prefer (although it's not too far from the average B-School prof, IMO), but it's o.k. for a first time at a topic.
I find that the first time I teach a new prep, I have to fumble around a bit until I find the best way to cover what I think is important in my style that works best for me. I have a fairly ideosyncratic style, and I usually dislike using the publisher's PowerPoint slides. So. it takes a while to lock down the way I'm most commfortable for a given topic.
Luckily, we all get slack at the beginning.

No, but if you have questions, ask away.
False modesty aside, tn the pool of Finance/Accounting academics, I'm fairly good at SAS programming, if just because of time spent doing it. But for whatever reason, I've resisted doing the "SAS on WRDS" thing for a while.
I merely figured it was time. And luckily, the WRDS documentation was pretty straight forward.
Like many things I put off, once I get started, it wasn't nearly as bad as I though it would be.

A C+? Does that mean you shouldn't continue teaching?
