The Unknown Wife had gone to bed long before I broke out the beans. But it's true - it was a serious lapse on my part, and there was simply no snackage to be had in the house. I tried my best - lots of salt and red pepper, but somehow soybeans and guys beating the tar out of each other just don't jibe.
The Men Of The Square Table have no doubt blacklisted me by now. Oh, the humanity...
Next time it's Mexican Food and fried things with pork fat.
And no one has EVER accused me of being a "pretty boy".

Lord.
No wonder your wife went up to bed, alone. Nobody wants some edameme-sucking PRETTY boy holding down the husbandly duties.
Get the chips and salsa next time, UP. The Unknown Wife will stay up til like 9:45 or 10:00 if you lay off the edamame. Maybe 10:15. You could get lucky.
Take from an OLD married guy. Women watch these things.
