Absolutely nothing. But somehow, a lot of commenters for the movie on imdb.com seemed to include it in the list of ways that the depictions of the Spartans in the movie didn't match up to the historical ones.

I'd say that they totally missed the point, as did the ones who went off on political riffs.

But then, I'm not that complicated. And I like guy movies.

Loved the special effects....kind of cool also the way the directors decided to mix real-live actors with CGI. Very powerful combination.
