I think you might be misreading the advice. Neither I nor the Inquisitor meant to say you should just keep quiet in toto. My intent (and I think his) was that you shouldn't make statements about your knowledge, but instead stay humble and ask questions (but only to your peers and your analyst).
Questions are ALWAYS good - when combined with a good attitude, they show a willingness to learn and that you're not a jerk. Just make sure you ALWAYS write the questions and answers down afterwards. That way, you don't make the same mistake (or askt he same question) twice.

Very helpful advice from Inquisitor. I differ though on the view about keeping my mouth shut when in doubt. If I were an intern, I'd take that as an opportunity to learn something new and ask questions. Nobody would fault an intern as a poser because by default an intern is inexperienced. I totally agree about not bragging. It's important to be humble and have a positive attitude.
