i can't tell on the video whether he's wearing a watch or not. in his 911 vid he wears his watch on his right arm, but a video prior to that shows his watch on his left arm. hmmmmmm.

I haven't even watched the video yet, since I think anything to do with OBL is hysteria-inducing and a distraction. But..funny...why haven't all the forensic analysts on the Right, who are so good at detecting kerning anachronisms and photoshopped smoke over Beirut on this like Stephen Harper on a cheese-steak sandwich?

Scout - from all the pics I've seen, he wears his watch on the right -- he's supposedly left-handed (which must be helpful for writing in Arabic :p). Who knows, eh? Most likely he's a ghost.
Ti-Guy - I watched about half of it to see the frozen parts, and it's pretty suspicious. As Booman points out, the only time he makes any current references (and he makes a lot of them) is when the tape's frozen. Ha! Coincidence? It was funny, it sounded like he'd been watching Fahrenheit 9/11.
Those forensic analysts can only say what Bush/Cheney allow them to say. They know it's fake -- IMO, they probably made it.

What an interesting thought, and one that would explain why, according to some, it sounded like a left wing blogger on a rant.
It does beg the question as to whether or not a video was needed to raise the hype, it would also explain the news lead up to the release of the video where they seemed to be expecting its' appearance well before it showed up.
Count me in with the doubters.

I'd put money on the CIA for this little production. What a leftoid rant capitalism, Kyoto, global warming, "no blood for oil", Noam Chomsky... a real lefty laundry list.
I've read quite a bit about this guy, and by all accounts he has no interest in anything that doesn't directly impact the ummah. Kyoto? No way.
His invitation for the west to "embrace Islam" was another giveaway. You know how paranoid the righties are getting about being "overrun" by Muslims? We're not reproducing enough, etc etc. The "invitation" was meant to get them all fired up -- what would get their motors running more than the thought of us becoming a Muslim caliphate?.
It sounds too ridiculous to be true, but that could be said of so many things the Bush Admin has done of late. Whenever you think something sounds too absurd to be true, it usually is.
