Does anyone know of any instance when our hard-working MSM "journalists" have even bothered to suggest that this is the agenda behind C-484 and that when an MP claims it isn't, he's being being disho...disingen...evasi...oh, fuck it...a bold-faced liar?

Ostensibly, it's supposed to somehow protect pregnant women, but it doesn't. It only recognizes the fetus posthumously as an individual person.
If it wasn't about abortion, then a more appropriate & effective law would be one that makes it a crime to cause a miscarriage, yet C-484 supporters don't support that kind of law. They want the fetus recognized as an individual person, the first step towards criminalizing abortion. That is ALL C-484 is about.

Apart from AntoniaZ and Heather, most of the MSM has been either non-committal or moderately supportive of C-484. It's quite remarkable, really, since it should be fairly obvious what this is all about.
I think it shows that abortion is an issue that's not even on the radar for most people. It's a done deal, so they see things like C-484 as quite benign.
As for the lying, just read their blogs, the lies are non-stop... absolute propaganda of the highest order, day in & day out. You have to wonder about a cause that can't get any traction without lying about it.
