Bark!

Gravatar I know the feeling.

Just when you think it's safe to step away from the computer, something like this, or better!!! comes along and you just can't resist the temptation to smack down the rightwingnuttery.

Gravatar I anxiously await Zorph and the photshopping to come...Jethro, Elly Mae and the whole clan...

Gravatar If Obama had lost, it'd be easier to walk away. But he didn't lose, and the chorus of exploding heads and the accompanying bizarre gibberish is just too much temptation.

Gravatar Mike - Driving into Neiman-Marcus on that old jalopy, with Palin sitting in her rocker with her shotgun.

Actually, that aspect of Palin I don't mind, being a bit of a gun-toting hillbilly myself. But I'm not running for VP or anything else for that matter.

Gravatar I just get me bestest idearas from you raving moonbats

Wasilla hillbillies,... Ooohhhh that just Toooooo Gooooood to pass up ~evil grin~

Gravatar Zorph, be sure to include critters and a sea-ment pond

Gravatar I was think of having Sarah shooting a tied up moose or something like that,...

Gravatar Zorph - Use the jalopy with Granny riding shotgun!

Gravatar Neiman Marcus celebrated its 100th anniversary last year. I doubt they'll survive the year now that people know they have items that would appeal to Sarah Palin.

Gravatar RB - Well you know what they say, "no publicity is bad publicity", but in this case there might be an exception.

Gravatar For comedy gold, I hope you were listening to the Oxycontin Junkie! He was in full tinfoil mode today!

Gravatar !!1 NOOOOOOOOO!!!

JJ?! Come BACK!

Gravatar Hi JJ ...since I couldn't leave a comment at your latest post I'm leaving it here. I hope you forgot to add I'm riding off on my sparkly pink unicorn because I'm tired and I need a break...so I can come back refreshed after a very short time and impale the reichwingers and fetus fetishists on my very pointy horn of truth and justice with even MORE vigour...and Oh yeah I DESERVE it because I've been working my ass off so there.
I hope that's what you really wanted to say and that you're not discouraged by those who have criticized other bloggers for writing about the U.S. election. As if any progressive couldn't help be moved by that spectacle of hope for change, while we live in a country where reason rules over passion...and look where it's got us eh?
Because if it's that I would just tell yeah whatever...yawn.
Anyway I just hope you are tired. I think a lot of us are. I can feel the energy oozing out of our blogosphere. I know I'm tired. I haven't been able to get into it ever since our election ended. Read what others are writing...there's so much of it...or leave comments.Just play videogames or watch mindless YouTubes.
If I didn't have Sebastien to drag me away by my ear, my rapidly expanding ass would be fused to my chair...
Anyway what I want to say is have a nice...but short...rest and come back all charged up because you're a very special part of our blogosphere, and we miss you already ...

Gravatar JJ,

What Simon said, OK?

Gravatar @Simon
As if any progressive couldn't help be moved by that spectacle of hope for change, while we live in a country where reason rules over passion...and look where it's got us eh?

Seems there are some who are not...

Yeah, I guess the alternative - Grampy who would likely not complete his term with the moose-hunting ditz just 'a heartbeat away' - would have warmed the cockles sooooo much better...

Gravatar Yeah, I guess the alternative - Grampy who would likely not complete his term with the moose-hunting ditz just 'a heartbeat away' - would have warmed the cockles sooooo much better...

It's a lot easier to fight (or flail) against an insurmountable enemy than to work towards something. Some apparently find it difficult adapting to new paradigms.

The past few days have been very...educational.

Gravatar What Simon said. You come back here!

Gravatar Echoing Mattt, Frank, Doc, Simon, Grumpy, Sleepy, Theodore and Alvin...Alvin?...ALVIIIIIIIN!

Come back, JJ, come back!

Gravatar The only effective way to give up blogging is to find something even more interesting and interactive. It's a tough thing to do. Not checking email, not listening to the TV and radio, will also help.

Gravatar Damn, I may not have been caught up in the US elections but I still checked in every day JJ. Same with you Matt, Drs. Prole and Frick, Simon and Dr. Dawg. Anyway, I hope you're just tired from all the wonderful work you do on this site and not frustrated with the blogosphere back biting. Anyway, you do deserve a break and I'm sure the kitties and puppy will love having more attention but please come back soon.

Gravatar JJ - I add my voice. No doubt that you deserve a break, time to do other things in you day / focus away from the monitor. You've blogged hard and smart for longer than I have been lurking here (well, lurking with a wee comment from time to time) and that takes something.

I'd like to know that when you’re refreshed and ready, you'll return to continue your unique contributions to the important discussions.

If this is all about pressure that the kitties, the turkeys and the dog may have put on you to spend more quality time with them – well . . . . . . find the balance that works for you, and them, and then . . . well, does “welcome back” sound like something you could read in the future?

Gravatar JJ, you can't quit. I nominated you for best Progressive Blog. Stay and fight with the "exploding right-wingnut heads". You're good at it.

And besides, you're the only leftie who gives me the time of day. Where am I going to find me another hippie?

Gravatar Go recharge, but be back soon! We'll miss you too much otherwise!

Gravatar Enjoy yourself honey, pink unicorn my shiny gay ass. Get yourself recharged, it's been a hell of a year and you've done a hell of a lot.

Gravatar Palin in '12!

Gravatar See, JJ? How can you leave when idiots like the above are still around?

Gravatar jj, you don’t owe anyone an explanation. We’ve been so lucky to benefit from your hard work, energy, and terrific sense of humour.

So this is your time and I hope life gives you back tenfold what you’ve given fighting for even the rights and freedoms of absolute, fucking morons, so outstanding and fair you are.

I hope you come back, but there are other ways to fight for what’s right. Your first responsibility is to yourself. Although your cats may disagree.

Gravatar Quick! Find something absolutely irritating in the news so JJ has to come back and flame about it!

Love you, JJ! May a herd of unicorns sparkle you on with your journey...

And then come back and blog!

Gravatar <Pedro from Excel Saga>Nooooooooooooooooooo! Mah sexy JJ!</Pedro from Excel Saga> j/k! Take whatever time off you think you need, but be sure to come back, ok?

Gravatar I also will miss your venting. It won't be the same without reading your blog every day. My days will be just like all the old ladies I know. I may have to go back to reading books! Pretty scary thought.
Have a good rest and come back to all the people who will miss you.

Gravatar WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA?

Gravatar Oh no

No biggie, I'm just taking a rest. I'm tired, irritable, etc. I'll be back, probably sooner than later. Thanks.

Gravatar JJ: You've done awesome work, and to everything there is a season.

Do what you have to do for a balanced, joyful life and taking care of you, okay? Know this, I'm not taking you off my RSS feed...hope springs eternal.:^)

I so get the tired part, I think most of us do.
Rest up. We'll be here.

Gravatar As long as you know we will eventually need our turkey updates!!
...and the Wasilla Hillbillies could sneak back to loot Neiman Marcus from coast to coast!

Gravatar JJ, we'll miss you. But I know how you feel and share it. I'm just tired . . .

Maybe we'll both be back -- even better than before.

Gravatar I don't know if you got my email so I repeat what Simon AND Antonia said.

Recharge and come back, JJ. We've all been there.

Gravatar Rest - Ok, retirement - absolutely not acceptable! Don't make us come and drag you back JJ, your voice is valued one around these parts.

Gravatar Good news and bad news!

First the bad news: Brad Wall the evil neocon premier of Saskatchewan has raised the basic personal amount $4000. That means that the dumb redneck hicks are going to get a tax break of $440 annually.

No provincial funding to change the racist white lines dividing highways - in favour rainbow-coloured lines that would promote diversity.

But good news in Amerikkka! The Messiah won the vast majority of the 57 states based on his message of 'hope for change' and the #1 most important concerns of the public - a simple 3 letter word....J-O-B-S.

And now The Messiah is going to have his own national holiday!

Next? Get George Washington off the currrency and replace it with the image of The Messiah!

Gravatar JJ, took a break myself, but going to ease my way back into the fold. See ya soon I hope.
