You know, if the hoochie coochie mayor wasn't wrapped up in the scandalous theft of an MP's responsibilities and representation of his riding, I'd feel really bad for her. I'd be mortified if nekkid pictures of me, practically spread eagle in my taxpayer-paid workplace, showed up on the tubes. Which they would, inevitably. They always do.
At least she had the good sense to put a towel down so she didn't have to peel herself off the naugahide. Or is that may be a 'special towel'?

Oh absolutely, Prole, me too. Although one has to wonder about the judgement of someone who exposes herself (heh) to this kind of liability. It's a public office (not a pubic office, oh sorry there I go again) and as such, probably not a good place to do the nekkid picture thing to begin with.
But as I said at your place, I will never miss an opportunity to expose (whoops) conservative hypocrisy, which Mayor Smith's picture totally is, in spades.
You know, if the Conservatives were this fun all the time, I might actually warm up to them. Too bad Big Daddy Harper has such a tight hold on the reins.
This is all sad and stupid. It's too bad Sharon Smith's rather inconsequential lapse in judgment is now coming back to haunt her, but since she's participating in this egregious assault on democracy...well, the gloves have to come off.

Actually, little did you know that I mobilised progressive Catholics in a prayerful counter-assault, the benefits of which you are now seeing. Nekkid pictures of Sharon Smith? Such karmic re-alignment can only be attributed to God.

Frank - I just listened to it - holy shit! The guy doing the interview seems to be right on target ("Why have elections?"). I'm amazed this didn't generate any further interest.
Unfortunately Daybreak North, broadcast out of Prince George, is a regional broadcast not heard elsewhere.
But, I never thought to search through the CBC site. One of Garth Turner's commentors posted that link.
Most of the reporters in the rest of BC and Canada probably wouldn't think of checking Daybreak North for stories of interest. S-BV isn't on many people's radar. Might be why the Cons are trying this there instead of some place in Quebec or Ontario.

For sure, they're test marketing it. Harris said something in the interview about "the people of Skeena-Bulkley Valley... and other ridings where people aren't getting attention from the government" or something to that effect.
why isn't the local ELECTED MP screaming from the rooftops and calling every reporter in the phone book to holler bloody murder about this usurption of the people's right to choose their own representative?
That's a mystery, Rev. Nobody (that I know of at least) has received a response from his office, although his email box must be jammed.
It should be interesting this week to see how both the media and MPs start to respond. I sent the press release to the Vancouver Sun last night with a suggestion that they follow up. We'll see...
