I think it's positively brilliant that Michaelle Jean would chose a work by Norval Morrisseau. His work was shown at the National Gallery (don't tell Chuck) a couple of years ago. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the exhibit.
The film about his life was tragic though because he suffered the fate of many Canadian artists - ending up homeless in Vancouver before he was rediscovered. In my mind, the GG through her choice is emphasizing the harm that can come from cuts to the arts.
Besides its a magnificent piece of culture.

chimera - The argument that all these abortions would have grown up to be taxpayers is weird because it kind of runs counter to their standard argument, which is that abortion and contraception cause more pregnancies, not less. Therefore, no abortion, no contraception, people stop boinking, less pregnancies.
When they make an argument like this one, it really shows what their true agenda is -- keep women constantly pregnant and popping out kids.

Torontonian: I guess the "word" that's broadcast on Miracle TV (or whatever it's called) doesn't show up online until a few days after the show airs, eh? Oh man, I wish I got that channel But it's not worth paying for a higher cable tier just to see Chuckie sweating and venting a few days early.
JA - As for Chuckie's show, I don't think they livestream it (I tried getting it before for some reason).
For Christians intent on spreading the Good Word, they're pretty cheap -- you can get the good word if you pay extra for it. Otherwise, you wait, and by that time it might be too late -- you might already have done something that puts you on the road to hell. Hopefully, anyway.
