strangely, while the movie did not, this post elicits memories of the raw terror i experienced while playing an AvP game on a PC some 10 years ago. it is hard to believe what time has passed. i don't think i've experienced such CRT induced fear since and the magnitude of it is only eclipsed by the memory of that i felt when i first encountered a Dark Trooper... but that is another story from another time.
