Gravatar I'd go for the Navarre Bible. They have such complete commentary on everything ... but it does have that Catholic swing to it, which naturally I love but others might not...

Gravatar Praise to our Most High God for answered prayer! I will continue to pray until a final decision is made. We truly serve an awesome God! God Bless.

Gravatar Kim, I love the Psalms! I can't recommend a commentary but I can recommend an excellent devotional through the entire book of Psalms called Prayers, Praise and Promises by Warren Wiersbe. It's one I pick up over and over again.

Gravatar I use the same book that Linda is recommending. I also use The One Year Book of Psalms published by Tyndale. They are both excellent.

Gravatar The Crossway Commentaries series has John Calvin's commentary on Psalms. It's on my wishlist, but I can't really recommend it yet since I haven't read it. (Oh, it's online for free, too--go to the "Commentary" section at monergism.com)
