I think that the art of conversation is really suffering nowadays. Our family has always been one to sit around the dinner table after the dishes have been cleared away and talk and discuss all sorts of stuff. We all like to talk about substantive topics, but I've noticed that for all that, we are spending a lot more time 'plugged in.' Texting has become a part of our lives and I think it's both good and bad. Facebook and Twitter provide opportunities for 'conversation' with many but it is a mile wide and a millimeter thick.
Before you know it, we won't know how to talk to each other anymore except through technology.
Call me a Luddite. Or Eeyore.

Name that TV show.
(You'll never.)

(BTW, it was said with a certain degree of awe; no condescension.)

Have no idea. I've only heard young throw it back and forth at each other. I've never actually watched the show.
