I'm thankful that my family is so healthy that an occasional virus is no cause for alarm.
And now that I have all big kids, family illnesses are not as labor-intensive as before. Babies are fun, but having big kids has its own blessings, too.

Yes, big kids can get to the bathroom in time to barf, and wipe their own noses.
I am thankful for many things today but especially for my husband. Today is our 30th anniversary, and I have our wedding album out and am remembering all the joys and sorrows and troubles and adventures God has blessed us with and brought us through. When our oldest son phoned this morning and said how thankful they are for our 30 years together, I said, "God still does miracles!"--only half joking, because we've seen many marriages crumble around us, and ours could have easily too--but for God. My husband is one of God's best gifts to me, and I am blessed!

As silly as it might sound, I'm thankful that Kevin washed the dinner dishes last night. In a big family, when someone pitches in and does more than their share of helping out around the house, it makes a noticable difference in how smoothly the household runs.

Today I'm thankful for the extended warranty on my car.
I am thankful for the ability to buy gas and food and pay rent in the ever-increasing cost of living. I am just thankful for a job.
I am a few days late, but can I still join in??
I am thankful for all the things my husband so lovingly did around the house when I was so sick with pneumonia last month. I know he was too tired to be doing all that, because he works very long hours and has an hour commute to work, but he did what needed to be done without complaining, because he knew I couldn't.
