Caecilius est pater, Metella est mater?
See, time collapsing on itself again. One year of Grade 10 Latin, mid-1980's. Stuck in my brain somehow.

Mama Squirrel, haha! I love that story. I seem to remember one of the characters being called a mendax, which I think is a liar. There was a cook in the family, Grumio

My remembered Grade-10 Latin is "semper ubi sub ubi"--always wear underwear (under where, actually). Our teacher told us it was the one thing we should remember, and guess what? Well, the beginning of the Lord's prayer is also still in my head, but that's about it...
However, I do love Sudoku!

As far as language learning is concerned, can I put in a word for Esperanto?
Apart from its use as a living language, Esperanto has great propaedeutic values, as well.

Ah, learning Latin...what a pleasure that was. Someday people will be those torn about learning English perhaps!
