We gave our boys Cabbage Patch baby dolls, with the idea that they could pretend/practise being fathers. But we sure didn't think that boys and girls are the same. The greatest challenge for us raising boys was when they transitioned to men, and their God-given desire to be leaders and decision-makers warred with the requirement to obey their parents...it was a tense time for us and them, finding the balance, especially the first time through. But it was also a joy to see them grow into the men they are! |

Oh, I see that you and Rebecca have experienced the same thing--and explained it much better! Guess I should have read over there first... |
