It's quite intricate. Not quite the simple interaction of RPGs, although some newer ones are becoming freakishly realistic.

not sure if these are the mechanics of life but they sound legit. anf by legit i mean they sound good.
1. when you're born you introduce yourself to the world and the world introduces itself back. and you two be nice to each other.
2. karma. i guess.
3. you do good by the world it gives back a million-fold.
4. don't settle for mediocrity and do not keep others in mediocrity.
5. walk the world. give it ten years or so. you might lose your accent but thats not such a bad thing.

I suppose people will never be happy. There will always be the desire for something more. It's a kind of inherent hunger. To have desires is human. But it's HOW we seek to fulfill these desires makes the difference.
