The only reason why I am frightened is because now we're surrounded by minorities. They are our friends, our neighbors, our bosses, our classmates. And this is in no way against them....but ANY attempt by us to reclaim a group identity and reverse the clock will be met with resistance by our fellow non-white man. They will not understand or take kindly to our mission.
"We need potential leaders to step forward and present some countervailing ideas to oppose the prevailing orthodoxies."
This is exactly what we need. But a leader nowadays has to have one giant qualification....independent money.
I'm tired I think more tomorrow

The term "drumbeat" really captures the reality well. I have often thought of this as the ocean waves relentlessly pounding the seashore. Either way it needs to cease either by somehow changing the tune or to be in a place where we no longer can hear it.

"It's the drumbeat of the left. It is political, philosophical, theological, and social. It pervades every activity. It is post-structural, post-modern, post-everything in the parlance of the day. It is tolerant, diverse, non-judgmental, non-discriminatory, egalitarian, politically correct, multicultural, globalist, and collectivist. It insists that there are no rights and wrongs, no moral absolutes." That was one of the most clearly and yet hardest hitting pieces of literature on today's moral decline and cultural Marxism that I've ever read. I read the entire article and will be sending it to friends and family. Now with regards to your last paragraph VA, I hold hope that in fact their four years in power (as the second docket was rejected by SCOTUS yesterday) will be the beginning of their decline. I agree with cabageroll we need an independent source of money. Maybe found an ad-hoc group like Leadership Institute. If they were able to get a bunch of generous donors together, so would we I assume.

That should read, "...along the lines of the way Leadership Institute was founded," since they aren't ad-hoc. Sorry for the confusion

VA,

I've been suspecting this as well.
In the runup to the election of Barack Obama it suddenly appeared to me, around September, that this black man's election was the Left's last real attempt to believe in itself and the positive "change" it could bring to society. After all, the 20th century is littered with the residue of the Left's political failures all over the globe, the stinking corpses of governments they've either destroyed or despoiled is with us today in the form of Zimbabwe, South Africa, Russia, China, Latin America, and the bloated risible governments of the West. Literally everything the Left touches becomes degraded, surely some have taken notice.
One of the Left's central tenets has always been the fungible nature of man (or the psychic unity of mankind), irrespective of either ethnicity or gender. In this light, observed inequalities between man could only by interpreted as symptoms of unfairness, prejudice, or hate since mankind is supposed a relatively undifferentiated mass. And so long as we live in a modern economy, equipped with all the requisite accoutrements, this idea never gets properly challenged aside from it violating the common sense of some.
But what if the Left's black messiah fails and the most powerful economic engine that history has ever known comes to a halt with the world's political order upset by a level of social unstability not seen for over six decades? When the world is in shambles and no one feels secure who will still have faith in the Left's projects? For that matter, why should they react any differently than nationalists in the wake of WWI and WWII. It's no accident that America lost its sense of race realism between the great wars, in the runup to our opposition with the Third Reich.
I think that the "worse is better" segment of the ethnoconservative Right sense such a moment just around the corner. A crisis point from which the Left can never recover and at which point new ideas can finally express themselves, in the remnant of what used to be our nations. For us, and our cause, a moment of opportunity that might be less than a decade away. The foreboding of this moment is so strong as to wrap our liberal world with a thick fog of confusion and unease with stormclouds at a distance. If such is true, than who can blame the Left for hoping that this black man will magically make these stormclouds disappear, perhaps persons of colour really do have access to a kind of magic that the White man can never know, it's not as if Obama has any other qualification besides the colour of his skin.
Keep the faith, it is always darkest before the dawn.

I agree with notuswind. I too feel a sense of desperation about the left's mindless and endless drumbeat of worship for the Obamamessiah -- it smells very much like they are trying to convince themselves to like something that is simply not true.
