Something's Gone Wrong Again

Gravatar Hell yeah Eric, one of the best comps ever. 3 is amazing. Love that Christ on a Crutch number as well, way better than the full-length I heard of theirs. And the One Last Wish CD is well worth picking up.

Gravatar I don't recall Ian being in Rain. They put out a 12" on the Peterbilt label (Guy P. from Fugazi's label) in the mid 80s that was really good. They were another one of those DC bands that came and went in the blink of an eye.

Gravatar MXV - I was looking at the Flex listing which stated:

feat. Eli Janney, Bert Quieroz, Amy Pickering, Ian Mackaye, Don Zientara.

Ian may have been the producer? I'd like to track this down (along with the other Peterbilt releases)

Gravatar Oh, do I love that Rain tune! Does anyone have the 12" and want to post a couple of songs?

Also, saw something on the net a couple of years ago, an interview with Guy saying that he was thinking of releasing the Rites of Spring demos on Peterbilt...

Demos???!!!!!

Gravatar The singer in Rain was a guy named Jon Kirshten (or something), and I think Eli Janney and Bert Queiroz played guitar and bass. I had the 12" on Peterbilt but sold it long ago. Check out the brilliant Deadline 12" (1982 demo) on same label!

Gravatar Jon Kirshten (Chris Bald's younger brother) played guitar & sang, Eli Janney played drums, Bert Queiroz played bass (& cover photo), Scott McCloud also played guitar & sang. Amy Pickering, Ian MacKaye & Jeff Turner did backing vocals, Ian & Jeff did production, Don Zientara engineered, & Kurt Sayenga did the design. Glad someone still cares & likes the record.

Gravatar I think Ian did produce that. I haven't played mine in quite awhile. I'll have to pull it out and record a track for a future vault selection.

Gravatar Bert Q!

You are someone I am trying to get in touch with actually. Could you please email me at punkvault[at]gmail.com
