Something's Gone Wrong Again

Gravatar That Husker Du cover is often painful to listen to; at one point, I either read a comment about it or heard a discussion about that song where the commenter was wondering whether he would survive until the end of the song. (It wasn't you, was it?)

Gravatar And that's what makes the song so great. Mould & company hit a high mark with that one...

The Beasts of Burbon's cover of, "Psycho" (have you heard it?) is genius. Gotta love those crazy Austrailians...

Gravatar that born against song is great. my old band used to cover it. it's also on their 7" and the CD that collects their 7" and comp tracks.

Gravatar Eight Miles High is THE best song Huskers did... so much raw emotion... totally blew me away first time I heard it and started a life-long love affair.

(the original's pretty good too).

Gravatar Thanks for posting the Blight. I've been trying to hunt that down. Good to know it's being rereleased--I'd be pissed off if I payed $40 for a 7" on ebay only to have it rereleased a week later!

Gravatar What a treat to see the Volcano Suns. I had a copy of the album in high school, and much like my other tapes got destroyed. This is the third track I've been able to find off the album.

Gravatar Talking about numbers, what about '40 Fingers' by THE MICRONOTZ? It's the title song for their 1986 album (Homestead); a really catchy, urgent song, not unlike Hüsker Dü's 'New Day Rising' era. The rest of the album is pretty good, too, though not as memorable.
Greetings from Spain/Basque Country/Whatever!!

Gravatar Oops, wrong song! The best one on that album is "Pay your Bill", the opener; "40 Fingers" is an ok fast semi-anthemic song.
Guess memory sometimes lets one down.
