I remember the Lady Bird Johnson campaign. Litter Bugs and the saying:

The term "litter bugs" was her idea? I didn't know that. Amazing how ad campigns can take on a life of their own.

I don't know if it was her idea or not, but it was her initiative that led to it. I always heard her get the credit as part of her hubby's "Great Society".

Today I look back and can say that it was/is not "great" and if we keep slipping into the abyss, the term "society" won't be accurate, either.
