I can't believe this happened in Thousand Oaks - please ask everyone to email their friends the license plate number of the stolen truck - let's all add extra eyes so that the authorities can catch this killer.

Interesting. I was in T.O. for a BBQ this afternoon and we were wondering what the helocopter was doing flying over the area for what seemed like hours. I guess we know now.

Suspect was ex-military, received a court martial; used a "blue steel revolver" in the shooting. They know who did it, but they just need to find him.

So many white pickup trucks got pulled over tonight...

They actually had two helicopters searching the areas: #8 and #9.

Homocide command post has been set up on Pickwick Ct; it's gonna be a long night.

I had to pull over on erbes when the ambaulance passed erbes... how horrible.... This man was not from t.o. keep your doors lock at all time you never know. people laugh at me because i always make a big deal about locking up at all times... stay safe...

There was so much helicopter activity in our good town this afternoon that I thought they had found Osama Ben Ladin in America's safest city.

What I don't get is they had 6 choppers flying in the SAME area ALL DAY you would think that they would look else where other than the scene of the crime... DUH...

There were only 2 I knew of from ventura county and they were searching everywhere from Dos Vientos all the way to calabasas to simi...

and you can imagine how many U.S. made white pickup trucks there are in the area....

I found this from the victims cousin on a message board that I frequent.

Hey guys, gotta be brief, but a cousin of mine was shot tonight, and our family is trying to figure out what is going on, but we know this. She and her husband were taking a weekend away from home for the holiday, in Big Bear, CA, where they own a home. They were getting ready to leave, and were returning a boat that they had borrowed from a friend. Either when they arrived, or shortly after, a guy came in and after a short argument with Steve, their friend, he shot him. He then proceded to shoot my cousin's husband, and when my cousin Jan fell on him to protect him, he shot her. He then fled the scene, parked his car at a Von's and jacked a white Ford F-150, License # 6E30786. She was dead on arrival, and her husband has just regained some semblance of consciousness. Steve is dead as well. If anyone from Cali can get any news, my family would appreciate it. Thanks a lot.
