Wow, just amazing! It was already a pretty freaking addictive song; now I'm going to be watching the video over and over...
i think this video is pretty weak for as strong as the song is. . .the song has the potential to be a pretty huge breakout hit but i don't see how this video is going to do much more than bring it down. look at the spectacular art direction we've seen from gnarls barkley up to this point (hello promo photos!) and THIS is the video we get? weak.
the video itself is fucking gorgeous. it's not what you'd expect considering the promo photos - but the video is artistic.
god forbid an artist decide to go a different direction with a song.
i'm not saying it isn't pretty, i'm saying it's not gonna play on tv and make people wanna watch the whole thing.
big = accessible these days and that video isn't gonna convince tv viewers that gnarls is rad.
it's not an argument against the art, it's an argument against the marketing choice that made them choose to make this video.

while i think my comments still hold, this IS the second video. the other one was FAR weaker.

That was the first video they released for the song, I believe.
Mina Song did the animation for both.
As someone that actually animated the "Ink Blot Test" video, I know that Mina Song did not work it. The animation was completed at Blind, a design studio in Santa Monica, which also completed two Jet videos directed by Robert Hales.

I was curious about Ganrls because I thought brain was cute. but i was kinda like..hmm...do I really care to listen to these guys? I bet they're another rap group. I DID give crazy a listen, quite by accident really, as it was on the radio in a store i was at, and i fell in love with it. I checked out the video recently too, and it's just awesome. i like the creativity behind using the inkblots as animation. it's a complete departure from alot of stuff the famous put out. (now, if some bhangra singers could take from that inblot idea for videos instead of mixing rap with their craft, we'd be cool!)
