Elijah,
It's gross, isn't it? It's nauseating. He better live up to the hype or he's going to be the biggest letdown in history. (You know where I'm placing my money, right?)

Sorry, I meant to say "being compared" when I typed "comparing" after "Before even being sworn into office".

Recently, while browsing the Current Events section of the magazines at Barnes and Noble, I noticed the odious Time magazine cover depicting Obama as the new FDR. Even worse, the cover story of Newsweek was drawing some comparison of Obama to LINCOLN. Before even being sworn into office, he is comparing him to the most iconic Democrat and REPUBLICAN presidents in U.S. History. Meanwhile, Bush, who obliterated the Taliban, helped to create a constitutional democracy in a country which was held in a state of tyranny and terror for almost 30 years, found and executed a genocidal, psychopathic dictator and kept America safe while Europe was repeatedly attacked by Islamic extremists, is somehow The Worst President in U.S. History. Go figure.

Perhaps they simply realized that Robert Ludlum is not a great writer and the Obama election gave them an opportunity to get rid of that name...

I'll second that - I'm not crazy about all the cartoons portraying Obama as FDR either. I'm prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt, but before we canonize, lets wait, oh, until he's been sworn it?

I don't care who the President is, but you should have served at least one term before they start naming things after you. *roll eyes*
