they called me 'the hyacinth girl'

Gravatar Politics is often 'tribal', so the cold war analogy fits pretty well.

But it is odd how the political left seems to often despise the country/culture it inhabits. Vague memory that Nick Cohen touched on that in 'What's Left'.

Gravatar I linked to your "Fighting a Cold Civil War" post. I am one of those who have had all that I can stand of the liberal left. I strongly feel that it is in the best interest of the country to divide ourselves into the two camps. My approach is to allow each state to hold a refrendum. The people in each state will vote on which version of government that they wish to join. Those who disagree with the version of government chosen by the state in which they live will just have to move. Insentives should be created to encourage such moves. This is the only approach that I see short of a shooting war that will work.

On another note, it appears that George Soros is up to his old tricks by engaging in market manipulation in order to have an economic crisis that helps the socialist democrats.

Gravatar LOL
D'oh. I always want to add a "d" to averse. Thanks for the pedantic comment, then.

Gravatar Shouldn't that be "averse" to all kinds of equivocation?

Gravatar That is what tickles me so much about his "terms"...they resonant with a person & you think it is something you have heard for ages.

Gravatar He's a pop culture genius. I thought the same thing when I read that phrase. I was like "I wish I had thought of that!"

Gravatar Gads... Gibson did it again! "Cold civil war' defines exactly what I have been seeing lately. Guess I will have to pick up his book... you think I would learn that this man seems to hit the nail on the head more times than not!
