Oh. My. Goodness! Christine P sent me to St. Petersburg, FL with a gajillion postcards, souvenirs, lucious teas and way more of my favorite yarn than she should have gotten! Emmy took me on a wonderful vacation at Smith Mt Lake in Virginia where I also live. What a surprise to find out that my vacation swap friend was someone that I knew. How funny is that. I know she had a time trying to find things for me since we live in the same state and about 15 miles from each other but she did a great job. If you'd like to see, go to my blog and read about it.

She spoiled me rotton with great yarn, souvenirs, treats And she created/crafted a photo album and Passport to "fitting in" in Boston!

My tour guide was Alethea, and I went to NYC! How fabulous! She is without absolutely any doubt the very best pal/guide in the swapping world! WOO HOO!!!!!!!!! My box arrived with an envelope on the top telling me to start my tour online. I then went to a place just for me on her blog and it guided me through NYC stopping me along the route to open a lovely little tissue paper wrapped bundle! I munched on New York Cheddar potato chips and delicious chocolate caramels from Dean and Deluca.....just damn good! I saw neighborhoods and lunch spots, got a cute coaster from a street vendor and a map of the area (I am always lost)! We even stopped at the MOMA and I have the most fabulous bag of MOMA only goodies, keychain--- little notepad (I am a notepad freak) and fun paperclips and little gel markers--- such fun. I will enjoy my desk time so much more!!!!! Then as if that wasn't enough, she took me to Habu Textiles! AHHHHHHHHHHHH, a studio and showroom for textiles. El fabuloso!!!! Inside that package were 3 of the coolest yarns--- one was kasuri bamboo tape, one was bamboo (in my favorite color red!) and tassar silk. WAY COOL! Love them all.

She closed with the nicest note and I have to say it was just really wonderful!

See why she is the best? Seriously, no competition!!!!!

I would like to nominate Lesley N. for a spa package because she sent such a great vacation care package. I wish I could show everyone all the goodies that Leslie sent me from Nova Scotia. Included were: a beautiful Purple yarn, a fun sock pattern, beaded, hand made markers, a tour scrapbook with places I visited, tour guides, chocolates, tea and mug, hand made bag, and much more. Everything took such care to choose. She really kept me in mind and her emails throughout with clues to my destination were so much fun. This experience has been great-especially for my first swap.
