It can go the other way too. I told my ob/gyn I didn't want pain meds unless I asked for them. He nodded and once I got to the hospital knocked me out. I woke up to a brand new baby.
Then the hospital circumcised him without my permission.
Then he had a fit because I wanted to breast feed (like it was obscene).
That was over 40 years ago (196 but sometimes I think nothing has changed. Women are still treated as second class morons.
(If you doubt that, take a look at our recent Supreme Court hearings.)

I don't know where that "smiley" (which you probably can't see) came from but the date I referred to was 1968.

there are smileys you can click on but I doubt you did that by accident. The thing probably just went loopie for a minute there.

Like that one for instance...if it decided to work.

It worked. I use smileys once in a while but not usually in the middle of a word.

It's funny the way that JAWS the screen reader works with the smiles. When I click one it will tell me it's there and let me move it around. When I publish the comment and then look at it on the page, JAWS doesn't recognize it. but when I get the email notifications of new comments, then I can see them again. So strangely, in plain text the things show to the screen reader, but when they're in picture form they don't.
