Bridging the gap is exactly what GILAS is trying to achieve with wiring all public schools in the country. We have already started the process of coming up with an outcome assessment and I've already provided the members with basic input.

to cross the divide, educators, including librarians, must examine the pedagogical approaches we apply in teaching computer literacy and IT skills. putting computers in labs and classrooms will not bridge the gap, but teaching and empowering learners who can create, produce and communicate using IT and computers may narrow the great divide.
