I am not sure it is so important to be in the A list. I prefer to ask the question why someone blogs. If it is for fame and money, I think most bloggers will be very dissapointed.
I guess you need to blog for fun, to discuss things you like, to interact with other people.
Of course it is nice to be in the A-list but does it really matters?

I am only blogging about the Philippines, I am not a Pinoy and being a foreigner I couldn't be included in the Pinoy Top Blogs.
Sayang, because people might otherwise discover my blog but I accept the rules. No problem.

You could also make an A-list taking into account the number of comments left on a blog

And to answer your question about what makes a blog "Pinoy".
It should be produced by a Filipino/a and be about the Philippines.

sidney: the A-list is unavoidable. if you read my intro, it's not quite definite about the definition of the A-list. btw, i always thought you were filipino based on your blog. i'd include your blog in Pinoy Top Blogs. filipino-ness should not just be about nationality

Sidney: You can actually include your blog in Pinoy Top Blogs since it's about the Philippines. It's just PinoyBlog that's exclusive to Filipinos (tama ba Connie?)

Very interesting questions. For me, I guess it will depend on the list's objectives. I don't think there is a definitive "A-List" anyway. It's all a matter of perception and what the public's willing to accept.

There can be a "best of Pinoys about the Philippines" blogs or a "best of Pinoys about anything" blogs or a "best of any nationality about the Philippines" blogs... you get the picture.
