OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHH PENNY LOAFERS I remember I wanted a pair so bad... My grandmother worked at Arlens at the time and she some times would call up my mom when things went on sale like grandma priced the items with pins and little cards remember those,, yeah I got a pair and put dimes in them incase I needed to make a phone call.... hey they have a place that takes shoes to africa I forget what it is called but that bald guy from ER heads it up. clean slow.... you might get sick again.
Well Iguess you are feeling better-don't over due it. Ah yes I remember backin the late 50's early 60's I wanted a pair of these shoes I saw at Arlens, and I begged my mom as she only waznted me wear oxfords, I hated wearing them. so I convinced her to buy these shoes that looked like black corderoy and mama said they wouldnt last, but she gave in and I got these cool corderoy slip on shoeswith a little sparking decoration. Well mom was right, I wore them to school and walked home in the rain and those shoes literally disingrated. They were made out of card board. So it was back to the oxfords until I went to high school and I got a job working for a truck farmer picking vegetables, and I got myself some cheap penny loafers from K-Mart where I also worked part time. Mom would also say cheap shoes woud cause me to have foot problems. Our shoe memories.
Hahaha! I remember Liquidators like it was the Ritz as well Sis! Only I was in kindergarten, and I was'nt as lucky as you! Instead of those stylish penny loafers, all I got was a pair of pointed red tennis shoes! Was'nt Liquidators the store that had the goose that laid the golden eggs? Love ya!
My mom would never buy me penny loafers either.
