Shit, thats going to be sweet. Where did you read what bands would be in SA though?

Heard them talking about the bands on TuksFM yesterday

its not confirmed what bands will be performing where.

But, HOPEFULLY we get at least 1 of the big names.

I love this blog, I love you guys and I LOVE THIS NEWS. It honestly almost brought a tear to my eye. For years I have been waiting and talking about the Foos and Chilli's coming to SA, lets hope it happens and throwing Fallout into that occasion, wowwowweewow.

Lets hope the tickets become available soon and we all get some!!

Sho thanks Nic. Yeah those tickets are sure to be shnaffled up quick - we need an "inside man".

5fm just mentioned all the bands signed up so far, some big assed names. Although still no mention of who's playing in Jozi.

I cant remember any of the names though. Which means I havent really added too much to this conversation...

I thin I just poopoo'd my pants.

I'm going to be totally gutted if I don't get golden circle.

Ok, I think the premise behind these concerts is pretty lame (Let's fly a couple dozen bands and all their equipment around the world so we can stop global warming... YEAH!), but if I get to see the Chili Peppers, Foo Fighters or some of the other bands on that list I'm sure as balls not going to be complaining. I won't even be sad that part of my golden circle ticket's going to be going towards keeping Al Gore's private jet in the air.

But realistically, what are our chances of getting the top bands in SA? All the top acts will probably stick to London, Sydney and the US, while we'll get somebody like Keane backed up by a whole lot of local artists. Let's not forget the Live8 concerts: The rest of the world got the top bands and artists while we had to make do with an all-local line-up that starred Malaika as its best act. How exciting.

So don't keep your hopes up. When it comes to these kinds of global concerts, we're always at the bottom of the list and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Crap just read this, "A UK show - scheduled for the new Wembley Stadium - will feature The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Keane, Foo Fighters, Snow Patrol, Snoop Dogg and Corinne Bailey Rae."

Although this comes from the Sunday Mail, who seem to be the only people who know this right now, it might be highly skeptical. But if it's not, whose flying to London with me?

If I go I'm staying, screw this joint.

We'll get Mendoza, Danny K and Freshly Ground - great stuff...

Also just heard Muse, U2 and Radiohead (who are unconfirmed) have joined up. If bands keep joining up like this maybe they will have to give us a couple of good bands.

all i want is pearl jam.....pleeeeeeeeeez.

Haha Pearl Jam, you're precious. I'd rather have a Poison reincarnation. Dave Matthews would be a treat though...

Please dont make jokes about Danny K playing... some of us have "issues" with that guy.
