W.C., what's your opinion on McCain's new plan (announced during the debate) to have the Sec of the Treasury buy up the bad home loan mortgages and renegotiate at the new value of those homes?

It's my understanding that Paulson can do whatever he wants with this 700 billion, or subsequent 700 billions (at least that my understanding, he can get more), and that there is no oversight as to what he spends that on. So isn't that already a possible reality?
But to answer your question: obviously it's consistent with the absurdity of our economic world. McCain is a scary man.
I wrote this to a buddy of mine today and I think it applies: "..we are in a comedy/tragedy right now. Sit back and enjoy the spectacle. And get some gold."

Whoops thought that was directed at me.

No problem, Negocios Loucos, glad to get your opinion, too. I didn't look at who made the post about Mercer and just assumed it was W.C.

Well, you have to give them credit for truth in advertising. From the most recent ad: "It's no wonder people are ranting and raving about Mercer homes."
I bet they are.

We rented a 2 bedroom w/ den, 2 bathroon condo at the Mercer for $2200 per month. After some negotiation we figured out the advertised prices aren't firm. We're in the market to buy a house we'll save our cash and take advantage of this screaming deal.
