cigarette and coffee, now we're talking!!!!
An insightful (and beautifully expressed) podcast, the sentiments (within Rumi's words) illuminate, what can very well be, the divine.
Well, that's very kind of you, Ana.

I think I am in love.....with your voice. I am so glad you found me so that I could find you.
I’m in love with the concept of love itself...I am delighted to say this is me also except for one tiny difference. I want those around me in love and not so much for me. It seems that most men just want my body and not my spirit or soul. I thrive off of my friends being happy and in love. I like to watch two people look at each other as though there is no one else in the room. I had that once. It was taken away from me without even a good bye. So the concept of love is great for others as long as it leaves me alone.
I know exactly what you mean, Fame. Thank you, by the way, and I'm glad I found you too.

Love the Rumi selection (and hearing your voice) he's one of my favorites! One of my favorite poems is "Two ways of Running". I have the Coleman Barks translated edition.
I love the photo. Is so sweet and touching.
I know. I'm in love with the idea of being in love, too. You're right. It is a dangerous business. Makes for a difficult time sticking to it, sometimes...(sigh.)
We are a lot alike in funny ways.
(P.S. I can't wait for Thursday. Sorry, but it's true.)
Don't aplogise - I'm glad. And yes, we are.

WDKY...this sounds like it could be promising. It's amazing what touch can do...sometimes words just aren't necessary.
Your last sentence...."my problem is that I'm in love with the concept of love itself..."..I am with you! It's some scary shit!
We're doomed, Sky, and we both know it.

I like that about you...that you are in love with the concept of love. Some are in love and never really are able to understand what it's concept is?
I knew you'd understand, NWC.

i know that concept all too well wdky, after this thing in warsaw andd paris over the past few months ended, ive become very cinical towards the entire concept of love. i dont think i care any more ... for better or worse
The thing is, EJ, I'm not so sure it's something you can opt out of... it's in your blood or it isn't. But I reckon you know that anyway.

now this sounds like fun! i am happy for you; and completely agree with Kimmee about letting go of expectation and just going with it. not that it is easy, or that anyone can actually do it...hope the high does not end any time soon.
She's not as daft as she looks, that Kimmyk, is she? Nice thoughts, and thanks, MissgL.

I keep trying to phrase what I want to say and its not working out well.
So I shall simply say, tread lightly but not fearful. Two things I know that you do.
Only my best for you darling!

That was so nice, Ruthie... thank you. Just going for a run, but I'll be over later today to see what you're up to x

Very Radio 4 darlink! I love the angst/excitement ridden first stages romance (or whatever!) Can still remember how it felt when I first met my SO...but the actual feeling is inevitably lost with familiarity.
Funny, because I was told I sounded very Radio 2 (And it's not ALWAYS lost, Lelly, I refuse to believe that.)

He probably held too tightly
(In the palm of his hand,
Looking out on the sea)
To the sand the wind
Was taking, grain by grain --
He who holds a fear
Of becoming mist.

You must reassure her there is plenty of time. Maybe she trembles not so much from your touch as past touches that ended not so well?
I have heard your voice. I have listened many times - as you well know.
It is a wonderful voice, and strong. You should never say it is anything other than that.
I'm sorry for my negligence. I promise it was merely the lack of patience of my clock and nothing more.
You don't owe me any apology, T x

Loved the podcast! I knew you were from the UK but was still a bit surprised to hear the accent. You should do more podcasts. You do it so well. In fact, I think I enjoyed it a bit more than the photos.
What a nice thing to say

No idea what it means? It means you LIKE her...and are attracted to her for something other than just sex. It's a good thing! I'm crossing my fingers for you!
You're quite right, of course... and thanks!

If you've got all these mounting expectations....you're always going to be let down I believe. Let it happen when it happens....or so that's my thinking.
Being in love is such a wonderful feeling...the birds are always singing...there's an extra spring in your step...life is good.....I can see how you are addicted to that feeling.....It would be great if it stayed that way all the time wouldn't it?
Everything you said is spot on, Kimmy. Great indeed!

In love with love....sounds familiar, though usually it's women who find themselves in that position!
btw: your voice is SEXY!
I think men are the gender who understand those things best, actually. It's an interesting subject for debate, though And thank you!

Actually, it sounds like progress to me, WDKY. It sounds like you've found a potential person you could be with for a while, and you're not taking any chances on mucking it up. Well done.
And yeah, intense sexiness and madness often go hand in hand. My boyfriend calls those girls "scary sad girls," and he's right. They use sex as a weapon and a disguise for their deep, deep issues.
That's a lot closer to the bone than you could ever know, Trouble. And I'm cursed with liking it! Still, this may just be different.

embarrassing? oh no...
wishing you hadn't done it? oh, no, no
THAT alone was so very sexy....and reading the poetry.... well, your hands may have just slipped a little.
(pardon the pun)
A sexy voice....yeah, that's on my list.
You're far to kind I agree, a sexy voice is a major plus!

I generally find that the more serious I am about someone, the longer I wait. If you're willing to stick it out for someone, that means something! I mean, the torture! Have a glorious weekend.
I agree with you (for a change). Have a wonderful weekend yourself.

You seem fearless when it comes to relationships with the opposite sex. I wish I had a little of whatever it is that makes you able to let go and jump in. I love that you can do that!
I guess I have a few trust issues and a rather heavy dose of romantic idealism. damn me.
No, I don't have any fear, Mez, but I'm also one of the world's true romantics. That's half the problem.

I get the same feeling that KimmyK does...That you always seem to be with someone. It must be all of those "mounting expectations".
Don't take "mounting" too literally, Nukie.

Listening to your voice this morning helped me to visualise you. Your voice is distinct, kind, thoughtful and certainly well educated.
It's nice to feel a little closer to the blogger you read every day.
I have made podcasts but of a much different nature.
Thanks Suze (although I'm beginning to wish I hadn't done it!). I'd love to hear one or two of yours though
