A few days after the test, I got a call saying that the first results came back clear, which just means I don't have meningitis or something similarly simple. They are running a ton of tests, but the ones that take the longest are the MS tests. My doctor even said that when I go to my appointment in February, they will probably only have 90% of the results back.

The waiting really sucks. Thank you for caring.

Just got two more days to wait. Wednesday morning I will probably be freaking out. If they don't say something definitive tomorrow, I will probably have a few more months to wait and more tests before I know anything. I have to get another MRI in a few months anyway. Thanks for waiting with me.

That's seeming overly long to make a determination. Is it? I mean is this how long it takes in most cases?

I think it's about normal. If anything, I feel like my doctors have tried expedite the process as much as possible. Here is a simple overview of the diagnostic process:

It's amazing that such a widely known disease is that hard to pin down. What a rollercoaster.
