No mold worries here and plenty of dry towels. We have not had any significant rain in over a month. Lenise (Paxifist) lives about 40 miles NE of me and she has gotten some, though it's pretty dry up there too. We still get skeeters botherin' us though.

We’ve had some powerful storms but none in about 10 days. My guess the eastern part of the state will only pull out when we get a tropical storm this way. that or a hurricane is usually good for about 8 inches or more.
My problem is the ants wanting inside where it is cool and there's water.

Heh. It's 67 degrees and no humidity to speak of. Mind you, this is California's weather, not home, but still. Heh.

No humidity....what bliss! It's gotten cooler, but the humidity gauge in the bedroom is seemingly stuck at 77%.
But just think - when you are in Chicago for that conference, you, too, can experience the wonder that is weather on the western shores of Lake Michigan! Plan on bringing both summer and winter clothes.

Chicago got hit big time yesterday. In front of the storm front the temperature was in the mid-80's but just behind it dropped by about 20 degrees. I can't imagine the wreckage a tornado would have on the city.
I think the high is supposed to be in the mid-90's today (just like us in NC).
