"Dingbat" is the correct name for the editorial staff at the Clown Talk. These are the same people who apparently believe that the carnage, more or less 'forced' attrition of experience and talent, and unbelievably low morale within the school system are the result of, "disciplined leadership."
The dingbats would not know truth if it ran over them; and as for investigative reporting? Puhleeeze...
Sandoval told it like he knows it. Period. Take that to the bank and cash it. It's solid. Granted, he could not have been standing there listening to every discussion between Deputies about signing the list, but he correctly stated the spirit in which it was created, the spirit in which it was intended to have been presented to the Deputies, and the spirit of every presentation that he personally made. Nuff Said!
By the way, if you are going to quote something about the Gutweiler case get it correct. You should refer to a particular Rapides Parish Assistant District Attorney as being the one who created the screw up you spoke about. That's another solid fact. Sandoval is another victim of that DA error, not the culprit.
As far as the Sheriff's Dept. investigation that Sandoval was involved in........a 30 year veteran FBI Analyst called it one of the most thoroughly investigated cases that he had ever seen in his career.

Looks like you hit a nerve with someone who apparently missed your points about people tilting at windmills and missing the dragon breathing down their necks, and that there are no true journalists (especially of the investigative kind) at the Clown Talk.
It is so easy to talk about the "war on drugs" and locking up drug offenders (basically code for black offenders), just as it was so easy for the present Sheriff to get a 1-cent sales tax passed by scaring people to death about their children's safety at school, using scenes from events like the Columbine shooting.
Statistics bear out that school is the safest place a child can be! But the sheep were led to the voting machine anyway!
In almost all of the school shootings, the children who went postal (usually precipiated by having been systematically bullied at school for years*) had been on LEGAL prescription drugs (and sometimes a combination of several drugs) for a substantial period of time (sometimes years) before the shootings.
Mind altering drugs continue to be prescribed at a terribly alarming rate to children in this country (Google the stats), some of them as young as 2 years old! And yet the public is not up in arms about big pharma's, "war on children."
Many highly respected researchers now believe that these mind altering drugs (tested only on adults) that doctors are prescribing to young children (based on parent or school reports of behavior) cause long-term damage that is much worse than the so-called problems that they are supposed to help.
It ain't necessarily the street peddler who is doing the most harm to our children. And in way too many cases the school system has a big hand in "helping" parents make a decision to have some doctor drug their kid up.
Those 5 years old must know how to sit STILL and learn to read already!
If the totally unoriginal dullards at the Clown Talk want to editorialize about something of importance regarding the use of DRUGS by our children...they need to do some serious research and find out why the US uses about 85% of the world's supply of Ritalin (YES 85%!) and why most of it is given to little boys, particularly little black boys. Find out about the ritalin-school connection!
Better yet, find out why there continue to be new (invented?) syndromes like "restless leg," and why big pharma relentlessly targets the sheeple via the boob tube with assurances that they have a pill for every d**n little thing that make us the slightest bit unhappy or uncomfortable. But that might require looking past the surface, and just as they do not look past the surface locally, they sure aren't going to do it nationally.
They're too buy trying to get Mychal Bells' juvenile records open. Its a win-win situation for them! Whether the records shed a really bad light on him or do not, makes no difference because either way it is guaranteed to get more racial strife stirred up. That is always a sure fire red
herring. They don't have to research anything truly meaningful and complex. It is guaranteed to stir emotional as opposed to rational responses. Apparently they don't think it will appeal to their readers; and they may be right.
*Too many public schools exist within system that have a "climate of bullying" that emanates from the top down. Some inside the local system feel that is is no exception. Rest assured that they will not speak out publicly. They have bills to pay and a life that they don't won't to see turned upside down. And of course the experts at the Clown Talk know that they really have is, "disciplined leadership."
