As for you, Lewis, I never expected such a strong dislike of Snow Patrol! Surely there's some of their stuff you can cope with, considering Ems is a big fan and all...

There's some decent enough stuff on their second album, if my memory serves me well. And I don't particularly object to this one style of song that they've perfected...it's tuneful enough, just pretty boring once you've heard it half a dozen times.

But every bloody one of their songs is about Gary Lightbody's mundane relationships, sexual quirks and all. Christ, can't the guy use a bit of imagination? I don't want to hear about his girlfriend troubles; the same way I've got no interest in the Arctic Monkeys' social lives. Both bands seem to have no interest in anything else apart from themselves and their own forms of gratification.
