Gravatar Trust me when I say I feel your pain. We will have $20,000 go out in premiums and deductibles ALONE, just THIS calender year. We had to switch insurance three times because of my husband's job changes and had a high deductible to meet each time. It's a nightmare. We're fortunate, though, that we even have insurance because of my son's health problems. We would never even be able to get him individual coverage. Luckily, you can't be denied group coverage. Good luck to you! I know you'll need it.

Gravatar I'm so sorry. even though we have DECENT insurance, between two babies, two surgeries for my son, a sleep study for him, and two ER trips, we are swimming in medical debt. As a matter of fact, we dang near hit bottom because of it.
I wish I had more ideas for you to save. I have a ton of things we did when we got real bad, like shopping ads and stocking up for cheap food, going completely generic (okay, except for my poptarts and my soda. I just can't do it), but I am sure you know all those. Plus our house is now hotter/colder than it has ever been. You will figure it out. You seem like a pretty sharp crayon.
