Funny, though, cuz if he and his buddy had been out there ripping people off, I bet the actors portraying them would have been black!
Yeah, I know, it makes me sound like a race-card-throwing bleeding-heart liberal - I'm just sayin' - in all their FREAKING research and the recounting of all the tales - couldn't SOMEONE have remembered what color/race his rescuer was? Or wouldn't one of the many movie producing staff have ASKED??
Maybe they did -maybe nobody really could remember - but I'm thinking they probably could remember, it just didn't occur to them to say it - and nobody did ask.
I think it speaks VOLUMES about this man's character that he isn't making a big deal out of the fact that he's white in the movie - goes to show that sometimes doing the right thing is just about DOING THE RIGHT THING!!
Kudos to him and everyone else who runs into harm's way to protect others!!!
