Ah man. That brings back memories. Wish I still had my Merlin.
If all else fails, you could always videotape yourself playing the Merlin and post it here and someone with "an ear" could tell you what notes correspond to each number and you could go from there.
And yeah, that's probably a very dumb idea.

I don't know any songs, but I used to have one of those. Oh the memories.

I had one too. I probably still have it in a box somewhere, along with my Mattel Electronic Football. And what was that game with the colored lights? Simon?
We were so cutting edge in the late 70's.

Don't forget to get a Merlin for the yard! You can keep it next to the corn cob crate.

Wow, we had that too. Geez, I don't remember it being so huge. You could knock someone out by hitting them with one of those.
We had Simon too. God life was simple then. Though I wouldn't trade my Guitar Hero for anything.

Holy crap - the memories of my Merlin were all but forgotten. I bet my parents still have it. I know they still have my old Simon...
Anyway as a "thanks for he memories", here's a PDF of the entire instruction manual, including "Blow The Man Down" and "Cockles and Muscles"

I'm afraid this was before my time...my first warm fuzzy gadget memories are from beating the old Mario Brothers game. Classic, sure. But not quite THIS classic.

I don't know about that, but I could probably get my hands on an old Simon.

I never had a Merlin of my own, but I remember taking one from someone on the school bus and playing it on the ride home every day.
I don't even remember how it works. There must be some forum for people still stuck in the 70s and early 80s where you could post that question and get an answer. Or you could just try different combinations of buttons. Does each button correspond to a note? You'd just have to figure out what note each is and traspose some music into Merlin. Pretend the nine central buttons have numbers on them like a phone. Then try pressing 3-3-3-3-3-3-3-5-1-2-3 and see what you get.

I'm having flashbacks to a dorky childhood. My merlin was blue. I look forward to the "Whit featuring Merlin" world tour.

How big of a nerd am I? I read the manual.
But hey, they have the sequence for Beethoven's 9th. Impressive!
